SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant position is responsible for performing administrative duties for the Marshal’s Department to include permitting and licensing. This position also assists with records management and evidence duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Permits and Licensing
High school diploma or equivalent; One (1) year of experience in an administrative field; Colorado Certified Records Technician Certification (CCRT) preferred or ability to obtain within one (1) year.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
Knowledge of: intermediate to advances skills in Microsoft Office; business correspondence techniques; use of office equipment including computers and printers.
Skill in: exercising considerable tact and courtesy with frequent contact with the public, staff, and others.
Environmental Factors
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment and in and around the Town’s buildings and facilities.
Physical Factors
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to sit for extended periods of time; may occasionally be required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 20 pounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Permits and Licensing
- Process parking permits and dog and bicycle licensing
- Determine completeness and eligibility of permit applications
- Maintain accuracy of permitting software; ensure permits are available for renewal
- Evaluate and recommend permitting process and software to improve the user experience
- Review parking garage citation related notices for accuracy; audit collection notices
- Answer questions and guide customers in parking permit process
- Process towed and booted vehicle releases
- Collaborate on issuance of building parking permits
- Other tasks and special projects as assigned
- Assist with records and evidence management duties
- Process Marshal Department invoice orders and revenues
- Perform general administrative duties such as data entry and retrieval and file maintenance
- Data entry and data retrieval from records management program
- Maintain and order office supplies
- Provide Marshal’s Department information to the public, other departments and agencies
- Assist the public by phone and in person with complaints and requests
- Maintain Lost and Found
- Work safely to avoid accidents
- Participate in Town sponsored cybersecurity training
