Duties
- Operate and maintain wastewater collection equipment, including pumps, valves, and heavy machinery such as tanker trucks and other heavy equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of collection systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Perform equipment repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Collect data related to flow rates, system pressures, and other operational parameters for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Assist with construction, installation, or repair projects within the wastewater infrastructure as needed.
- Manage plumbing tasks related to the wastewater system, including pipe repairs or replacements.
- Conduct water treatment processes in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently during maintenance or installation activities.
- Maintain detailed records of operations, repairs, and inspections for compliance documentation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED with supplemental courses relating to wastewater treatment.
- Certified State of Vermont Water pollution Control Operator Grade 1 or better.
- Possession of a Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License, Level B required with Tanker endorsement (Level A preferred)
