Full-Time Position Vacancy
The Town of Springdale is seeking a full-time Deputy Town Clerk to work under the supervision of the Town Clerk. This position provides administrative support and performs complex clerical duties as needed to help expedite day-to-day operations of the Town Clerk’s Office. Qualified applicants must be 18 years or older, have graduated from high school or have a G.E.D., have one year of specialized training provided through government workshops, seminars, or approved academic curriculum, AND two years of progressively responsible experience related to the job duties, OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Qualified applicants must possess a valid Utah driver’s license, be bondable, be willing to become a notary public, and be willing to work toward Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) certification.
Summary:
Essential functions of the position include:
Records Management: Maintains records for the Town, manages records room, performs digital archiving, serves as Records Management Program Administrator, and maintains annual certification as a Records Officer.
Business Licensing: Receives business license applications and reviews applications for compliance with applicable town codes, issues business licenses and maintains business license records, and processes renewal applications.
Public Body Support: Prepares agendas and organizes packet material for meetings, assists with public hearing notices and mailings, posts agendas online and in town, public meeting set up including audio/visual technology, attends town meetings, records and transcribes minutes.
