What are the responsibilities and job description for the Conservation Agent position at Town of Spencer, Massachusetts?
The Town of Spencer seeks a proven conservation professional with excellent written and oral skills and thorough working knowledge of the Wetlands / River Protection Acts to administer these and local wetlands by-laws. Provides environmental / open space and planning support. Reviews stormwater permit applications, performs annual gravel pit inspections, and provides technical support to the Conservation Commission.
Associate’s Degree in Environmental Science or related field and three (3) years of experience in a similar capacity; or a combination of education and experience. MACC “Fundamentals” certification required to be completed within one year of hire.
