The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire a Facility Maintenance Tech to join our Transportation Department!
This is an in-person position
Facilities Maintenance Tech I Position hourly range: $25.35 - $32.96
Facilities Maintenance Tech I Hirin g range: $25.35 - $29.16
Facilities Maintenance Tech II Position hourly range: $27.90 - $36.27
Facilities Maintenance Tech II Hiring range: $27.90 - $36.27
$1,000 sign-on bonus available!
We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Tech that will perform manual labor in the cleaning and simple repair of the department transit vehicles and facilities around the Town of Snowmass Village. This position is responsible for general cleaning, transport vehicles to shop, recommend purchase of materials, snow removal using hand tools, minor plumbing and mechanical repair and monitoring of cleaning supplies.

We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Tech that will perform manual labor in the cleaning and simple repair of the department transit vehicles and facilities around the Town of Snowmass Village. This position is responsible for general cleaning, transport vehicles to shop, recommend purchase of materials, snow removal using hand tools, minor plumbing and mechanical repair and monitoring of cleaning supplies.
Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below:
- Operate equipment and appliances to clean buses and delivery vehicles to maintain access to the wash bay and delivery docks
- Coordinate with the Transit Foreperson on the cleaning of vehicles and the transit depots, bus stops, walkways, elevator, offices and vehicle storage bays
- Clear facilities of trash debris
- Perform snow removal with hand towels, powered equipment and/or plow truck
- Operate heavy equipment using safe judgment in a confined area
- Safely operate service vehicles and plow truck on public roadways
- Learn the proper use of motorized and/or mechanical equipment
The ideal candidate has the following qualifications/skills:
- Previous experience of driving a truck or bus is desired;
- Experience operating and/or maintaining motorized equipment and appliances related to building maintenance and snow removal is desirable
- Valid Commercial Drivers License Class B
- Able to operate a snowplow in a confined space
