What You'll Do:

- Operate light motorized equipment (e.g., trucks up to 36,400 lb. GVW) for the construction and maintenance of streets, roads, sidewalks, and drainage.
- Perform snow and ice removal operations with trucks, sanders, and plows.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Perform manual labor such as loading trucks, digging ditches, flushing sewers, and cleaning culverts.
- Assist with general construction and maintenance duties to keep Town infrastructure in good condition.
- Provide support to other municipal departments when needed.
Light Equipment Operator - Job Description
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- At least one year of experience operating specialized light motorized equipment, or two years' experience with any automotive equipment.
- Knowledge of light motorized equipment operation and maintenance.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions.

- Dependability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
- Good physical condition with the ability to perform manual labor, sometimes under adverse conditions.
