Maintenance Technician - Utilities

JOB The Maintenance Technician - Utilities performs intermediate skilled trades work; inspects sewer lines for breaks and infiltration, assists in the repair of broken water lines and sewer mains, installing, repairing and maintaining streets, drainage ways and related facilities, sidewalks and catch basins, pouring and finishing concrete, operating a variety of heavy equipment, performing ground maintenance, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the close supervision of the Maintenance Team Lead - Utilities. • Performs street maintenance including pothole repair and curb maintenance.
• Performs mowing and trimming at Town facilities and properties including some landscaping.
• Installs, maintains and repairs traffic control devices and street signs.
• Assists with snow removal and ice control for the Town.
• Performs cleaning and painting projects including painting curbs as needed.
• Performs basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical projects as needed for Town facilities and properties.
• Assists with set up and tear down of Town events.
• Executes other job duties as necessary.
