What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Treatment Operator/ Operator Trainee position at Town of Pulaski?
The Town of Pulaski is seeking applicants for a licensed Water Treatment Operator or Operator Trainee. This is a full-time position with benefits including paid employee health insurance, life insurance, Virginia Retirement, vacation, and sick leave. Starting pay is $45,000 but may be higher based on experience and licensure (if applicable) of the candidate.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Town’s water treatment plant. Applicants must possess a valid Virginia driver’s license, a high school diploma, basic math skills, general mechanical knowledge and safe work habits. Certification by the State Board of Waterworks Operators is preferred but not required. Town of Pulaski is a drug-free workplace, and all candidates must pass a drug screen and background check to be considered for employment.
