Position: Public Works Technician III (CDL driver)
The Town of Pendleton is accepting applications for a Laborer/CDL driver with the Public Works Department. This position requires that an applicant must have considerable knowledge of heavy-equipment operating principles; working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations; working knowledge of the methods, materials and tools used in street maintenance, solid waste collection work, and water/sewer repairs.
Position hours: Full-time position
Job duties:
- Drives trucks of various sizes and weights in the loading, hauling, and unloading of various equipment, sanitation, recycling, brush and etc.
- Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Other duties as prescribed by the Public Works Director and Assistant Public Works Director
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- A valid South Carolina Driver’s License, and a minimum South Carolina CDL Class B with air brakes are required.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass a background check.
Pay info: Salary is $32,482 to $40,603 yearly dependent upon qualifications along with a great benefits package.
