HIRING RANGE FOR THIS POSITION IS EXPECTED TO BE $25.71 - $30.86/HOUR. The full salary range for this position is $25.71 - $36.00/HOUR. This position is full time with benefits and is an hourly position.
Typical schedule is Monday through Friday days, with five (5) eight (8) hour shifts with the possibility of Saturday shifts in the future if ever needed.
You must be able to pass an extensive background check which includes but is not limited to a criminal history search, polygraph test, employment verifications, etc . Under general supervision, this position processes, maintains, and releases police records in compliance with applicable laws, retention requirements, and confidentiality standards. The position ensures accurate records management, supports reporting and financial processing, and provides timely service to internal staff, external agencies, and the public.

Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by three (3) years of related experience.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Driver's License issued by the State of Colorado for the type of vehicle or equipment operated; safe driving record and a minimum of two (2) years of driving history.
Possession of the ability to obtain the following certification upon hire: Notary Public.
Possession or the ability to obtain the following certification within six (6) months of hire: CCIC/NCIC.

The employee must be able to talk and hear effectively, both in person and over the phone, and must be capable of operating a vehicle if required by the role. Vision requirements include consistent near and far visual acuity, depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus to allow a broad field of vision.

This position is primarily sedentary in nature. The employee must be able to exert up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Physical presence onsite is required. Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office environment. The noise level is typically quiet.

- Receives, processes, scans, stores, purges, and maintains reports, citations, court-ordered sealings and expungements, and related records in accordance with policies and court directives.
- Processes, routes, and releases time-sensitive records and reports to internal departments, external agencies, and the public in a timely manner.
- Reviews records for lawful release, applies required redactions, and ensures compliance with disclosure and confidentiality requirements.
- Classifies, codes, and updates police report data, including NIBRS-compliant reporting, and performs error checks and data quality reviews.
- Prepares, processes, tracks, and enters records, reports, and statistical data into records management systems and databases.
- Collects fees, processes payments, and prepares related financial documentation and reports.
- Serves as notary public; notarizes legal documents such as case filing affidavits, warrants and other materials as required.
- Maintains confidentiality and safeguards sensitive information in compliance with Town policy and applicable laws.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
