What are the responsibilities and job description for the Judge Pro Tempore position at Town of Oro Valley?
Hourly amount is $50.00/hour, payable in a four-hour minimum when scheduled
Applications are being accepted for Part-time Judge Pro Tempore. The duties of this position include presiding over all phases of a broad range of misdemeanor criminal, civil traffic, and Town Code violation cases, as well as civil orders of protection and injunctions against harassment.
- Persons applying as part-time judges pro tempore shall be at least 30 years of age, of good moral character, and admitted to practice law in and a resident of the State of Arizona for the five years immediately preceding appointment as a judge pro tempore, as required by article 6, § 31 of the Arizona constitution.
- Applicants shall have at least five years of criminal law experience or five years of experience as a judicial officer, or a combination thereof totaling five year's experience.
