ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – GR. 2 FULL-TIME
PLANNING DEPARTMENT
Pay: $22.03 - $32.54 PER HOUR
The Administrative Assistant provides financial, customer service and administrative work to assist with the operations of the Planning Department supporting the Town Planner and work of the Planning Board.
Responsible for a wide range of clerical and administrative services, including but not limited to the receipt and processing of new applications that come before the Planning Board for review and approval. Uses basic accounting software to receive and process application fees and track projects after approval. Prepares legal advertisements and mailings in accordance with MGL Chapter 40A, as well as online packets for Planning Board meetings. Responds to requests for information regarding zoning regulations, the history of certain parcels of land within the Town, and other related inquiries.
Associate degree preferred; three (3) to five (5) years of prior work experience preferably in land use planning or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
