What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUMMER - Youth T-Ball/Wee Ball Coach position at Town of Normal?
Join our youth baseball/softball staff this summer!
This position will be responsible for instructing youth in the sport of baseball/softball.
The Wee Ball program works with children 3-4 and features multiple practices per week M-TH, with age appropriate learning and games, from 5-6pm.
The T-Ball program works with children ages 5-6 and features one practice and one game per week (M/W or T/TH) from 6-7pm.
These programs will begin the first week of June and conclude mid-to-late July. There are no weekend commitments for this position.
Evening shifts available Monday-Thursday 5:00-7:00pm.
-Coaches provided all materials and equipment essential for practices and games.

-Follow lesson plans provided by program director and coordinator for all coaches
-Instructing small groups of children (groups of 8-20)
-Communicating information to parents on a regular basis
-Enforcing program rules
-Care of supplies and equipment
-Coaches provided all materials and equipment essential for practices and games.
-Must have knowledge of the sport
-Must be able to demonstrate proper techniques to participants
-Must enjoy working with young children
-Must be outgoing and able to lead
Preferred age is 16 years and older. Exceptions can be made for applicants with prior coaching and/or playing experience.
Salary : $15 - $16
