What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Billing Specialist (Part-Time) position at Town of Middleburg, Virginia?
The Town of Middleburg, a dynamic and historic small town in Loudoun County, Virginia, has an immediate opening for a part-time Utility Billing Specialist. This position will be focused on supporting all aspects of the Town’s utility billing process, including bi-monthly billing, addressing customer issues, taking payments, tracking regular meter consumption patterns, and establishing accounts for new customers. This position is both analytical and customer-service focused and provides additional support to the Finance Team beyond utility billing. Financial skills, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask are essential. Requires an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or closely related field and a minimum of two years’ experience as an administrative assistant, accountant, or similar professional work. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Experience in Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred as is Southern Software Financial Management System. A background check and credit check will be required.
