Performs highly responsible administrative and technical work in assisting the Public Works Director with project, employee, and fiscal management of the Public Works Department. Participates in the management, planning, and execution of Solid Waste operations. This is a working director position.
Responsibilities
Provides direct supervision to Public Works, Building & Grounds, and Solid Waste personnel. Responsible for employee evaluation and discipline. Assigns work to highway crew.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or the equivalent with seven years experience in municipal public works or related field, as well as four years supervisory experience; possession of a CDL-B or the ability to obtain in a predetermined timeframe; OR any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Salary range
$81,072 to $103,771 dependent upon experience
