SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Works under the direct supervision and direction of the Communications Director The below list is intended to be illustrative of the responsibilities of the position and not all encompassing. The Town may change these duties at any time.
• Assists the Community Engagement Director or other Recreation staff in providing supervision for recreation activities such as sports, games, programs, educational sessions, special events and field trip experiences for a variety of age groups.
• Assist patrons at facility front desk by answering questions, responding to emails and phone calls, and providing program information.
• Process registrations and handle cash and credit card transactions for programs, passes, rentals, and drop-in activities.
• Utilize recreation software to process drop-in fees, program and event registrations, and facility rentals.
• Operates programs according to Town of Mead and Recreation Department guidelines.
• Ensure accurate daily cash counts and follow established financial procedures.
• Open and close facilities following proper procedures and monitor facility use for safety and rule compliance.
• Perform light cleaning, restocking, and routine upkeep to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
• Maintain records, attendance logs, and incident reports for programs and facility use.
• Assist in the distribution of marketing materials to the public.
• Set up and take down equipment for programs, sports, rentals, and special events.
• Inventories and inspects equipment and supplies.
• Ensure positive experiences for all facility users and contribute to the delivery of high-quality community programs.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established safety protocols.
• Attend regular staff meetings.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Ability to obtain first aid and CPR certification within the first six months of employment
- Ability to provide own transportation to the worksite(s).
- Ability to work with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, appointed and elected officials, management team and especially the general public.
- Ability to work with program participants of varying ages and physical abilities.
- Ability to respond to citizen concerns in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work some irregular hours, work alone or closely with others.
