The Town of Littleton is seeking a knowledgeable, motivated, and experienced Public Utilities Manager to lead the operations of its water distribution, wastewater treatment, and sewer collection systems.

Position Overview
The Public Utilities Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and managing all aspects of the Town's public utilities operations, including:
- Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations
- Water Distribution System
- Sewer Collection System
- Pump Stations and Utility Infrastructure
- Department Budget Administration
- Capital Improvement Planning
- Regulatory Compliance
- Personnel Supervision
The successful candidate will serve as the Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) for one or more utility systems and ensure compliance with all applicable North Carolina and federal regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Extensive experience managing water and/or wastewater utility systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with budgeting, capital projects, maintenance planning, and regulatory reporting
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License
Preferred Certifications
North Carolina certifications in:
- Grade II Biological Wastewater Treatment
- Grade I Collection System Operator
- Grade B Water Distribution Operator
- Cross Connection (Backflow) Certification
Candidates who do not currently possess all certifications must have the ability to obtain them within the timeframe established by the Town.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
