Town of Littleton Fire & Rescue Career Firefighter the Town of Littleton Fire & Rescue Department is accepting qualified candidates for an open Firefighter/EMT (Paramedic preferred) position. Littleton is a vibrant community of approx. 6000 residents located in the White Mountains along the Vermont border. Minimum Qualifications Include:
- High School Diploma
- Valid New Hampshire Driver’s License including CDL-B with tank endorsement (required within 1 year of employment.)
- NH Firefighter II or Pro Board-Certified Firefighter II (required within 1 year of employment)
- Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (Advanced-EMT required within 1 year of employment)
- Current CPAT or Lateral transfer pursuant to New Hampshire Administrative Rule, Chapter Fire 703, associate’s degree in Fire Science/Technology is desirable.
This is a union position working an average of 42 hours per week with a 24/72 schedule. Overtime opportunities consist of shift coverage and emergency callbacks.
Salary Range:
Starting salary for probationary firefighters is $52,175.76 to $55,298.88 per year depending on EMS certification level. Benefits include paid leave, medical/life/disability insurance, NH Retirement System, 11 paid holidays, uniform allowance.
The Town of Littleton conducts extensive pre-employment background/criminal/motor vehicle records checks, a NFPA 1582 pre-employment physical and drug & alcohol testing for all successful applicant candidates.
