Position: Grade 2 Long-Term Substitute

• Create a collaborative and nurturing environment for students to learn and take risks
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students
• Plan well-structured lessons that have varied learning experiences to meet student needs
• Guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic problems
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with students, families, and staff.
• Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress, and to determine their priorities for their children and their resource needs.
• Collaborates well with colleagues of diverse backgrounds on pedagogical approaches, curricular alignment including Universally Designed Learning, and instructional strategies
• Evaluate student progress which includes report cards and creating Student Success Team meeting notes when necessary
• Appropriate Massachusetts Educator License (DESE) is required
• Other duties assigned by the building administration
Rates of Pay: for Long-Term Teacher Substitutes
Day 1 - 60; $275.00 per day (Based on Bachelors, Step 1 FY26)
Day 61 - End of Contact; Sub will be hired at appropriate degree/step and given all benefits except for MTRS
