The Town of Lexington is accepting applications for the position of Road Maintenance Technician I. Reports directly to the Transportation Supervisor and works as part of a team responsible for upkeep and maintenance of town streets and infrastructure. Applicant must have the ability to work with road maintenance equipment, road work safety measures and maintenance practices. Performs tasks associated with the maintenance of streets, drainage systems, sidewalks, and traffic signs for the Transportation Department. Applicant must be able to perform tasks that involve physically demanding work including lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (50 pounds).
The Position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by 6 months of experience in road maintenance. Applicant must have a clean driving record, a valid SC driver’s license, and have the ability to obtain a CDL.
