Under general supervision, assists with the development and implementation of community outreach initiatives, events, and programs to support the Town’s mission and values. This position is classified as non-exempt and is subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime regulations.
Primary Tasks
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position reports to the Community Relations Director.

Qualifications Of Class
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or GED program required. Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in communications, marketing, public administration, business administration, or other related field.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Primary Tasks
- Creates engaging social media content and campaigns across Town platforms.
- Captures and edits photography and videography for social media, newsletters, websites and other Town communications.
- Designs graphics, flyers, digital content, and other visual materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
- Assists in the marketing, preparation, and delivery of Knightdale special events.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position reports to the Community Relations Director.
Working Conditions
- This position is not subject to adverse environmental conditions.
- Must be able to physically perform the basic life operations functions of fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to perform sedentary work, occasionally exerting 10 pounds of force.
- Must possess the visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures, perform transcription, operate a personal computer, and perform extensive reading.
