What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Works Collection System Operator position at Town of Jackson?
The Town of Jackson, Public Works Department is accepting applications for a full time, year-round, Collection System Operator in the Wastewater Division. Hiring range $62,600 - $81,400 annually DOQ. This is an excellent opportunity for a value centered, team-oriented professional. Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: High School graduation or equivalent, a valid Class B Commercial Drivers License (or ability to obtain within 2 months), and a Level II DEQ Wastewater Collection License (or ability to obtain within 18 months).
A $7500 signing/longevity bonus is provided over 3 years. If hired at the Collection System Operator level, Operators are eligible to advance in position and compensation to Collection System Operator II up to Senior Collection System Operator with an additional 4.5% increase in addition to annual wage increases.
This position has full benefits offered by the Town of Jackson currently including health, vision and dental insurance, premiums paid 100%, HSA matching contributions, government retirement benefits, $1000 deferred compensation match, and Paid Time Off (PTO), which covers vacation, sick and holidays with up front paid leave.
