What are the responsibilities and job description for the Highway Laborer I position at Town Of Hartford Vermont?
The Town of Hartford, Vermont is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Highway Laborer I. This position will operate small equipment and will involve plowing, salting and sanding of the sidewalks in the winter and assisting with general highway maintenance and construction work in other seasons with a focus on assisting in all aspects of highway work.
This is an entry level position which requires the willingness to learn and take direction, and a drivers license, with the opportunity for advancement and CDL training.
Regular work hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm. This is a full-time position that pays $22.09 per hour with benefits that include; health and dental insurance, optional comp time accrual, paid time off, and Vermont Municipal Employees Retirement System pension.
