SUBSTITUTE LIBRARIAN
Groton Public Library
Part-Time, up to 18 hours per week, shifts will vary; may include days, evenings and weekend hours
STARTING RATE:
$23.00/hour
POSITION RANGE:
$23.00 - $24.00/hour
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Substitute Librarian aids library patrons in the selection, acquisition, organization, and use of books, periodicals, and materials, as well as searching of databases, using online tools, and automated indexes. Researches requests for information and responds orally or in writing.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with the public; including patrons of all ages. Municipal library experience preferred. Comfortable with technology; experience with library software systems, in particular SIRSI, preferred. One year minimum of reference experience desired. Bilingual a plus.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree in Library Science
