Ensures smooth operations of the salon and provides customer service on behalf of the Nathaniel Witherell Skilled Nursing Facility. Education and Experience:
High School diploma, plus one year of related administrative experience.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of customer service principles.
Proven knowledge of office procedures.
Proven ability to maintain accurate payment records and prepare receipts for services.
Demonstrated proficiency in the operation of a personal computer and the use of software such as Microsoft Word and other industry-related software.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with residents, families of residents, colleagues, and supervisors.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedules services for short-term rehab patients and long-term residents.
Ensures proper payment is received and completes receipts for each transaction.
Ensures proper cash-handling procedures are followed.
Creates schedule for salon staff and reviews timesheets.
Assists with transporting patients/residents to and from the Salon.
Assists with shampoos for wheelchair customers.
Prepares and completes all administrative paperwork.
Ensures salon is clean and escalates maintenance or housekeeping issues to appropriate facility manager.
Orders necessary supplies and retrieves clean towels from housekeeping division.
Replenishes the salon’s marketing brochures as needed.
Supports Town policies and philosophies.
Performs other related duties as required.All positions may be subject to an interview process. The Town reserves the right to limit the number of qualified candidates who will be invited to participate in the examination, or any part thereof.
All outside candidates will be required to undertake and successfully pass a pre-employment medical examination, which includes a substance abuse test that includes testing for THC (the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana), given at the Town's expense prior to employment if conditionally offered a part time, full time or safety sensitive position.
The Town of Greenwich has implemented a policy of background investigations for all full and part time positions prior to hiring as part of the reference checking procedures for outside candidates. The investigation will only be conducted as the last step prior to an offer. Refusal to sign the release form will terminate the candidate's further consideration.
