What are the responsibilities and job description for the Indoor Baseball Director position at Town of Greenwich, CT?
General Statement of Duties
Provide oversight and management of the indoor youth baseball clinic. Plans and determines instruction format, drills, and organization of participants.
Lays out the work for and supervises other instructors.
Participates in running drills, coaching, instructing, and demonstration.
Is familiar with the participant's emergency information and keeps an updated roster on hand. Administers emergency response and first aid if needed. Follows the Town protocol for communicating emergencies.
Ensures that all equipment is set-up and removed before and after each session.
Talks with and answers questions of participants as needed.
Be a good role model and implement good sportsmanship.
**This position works at the Cohen Eastern Greenwich Civic Center, located at 90 Harding Rd, Old Greenwich, CT.
Program runs: Friday afternoons/evenings, from January through March.
Season: 8 weeks, approximately 2.5 hours per week
Qualifications
Considerate baseball coaching/playing and instructional experience. Must be 21 years of age or older.
CPR/AED and First Aid certification is required; however if applicant does not have valid certification, they must be willing to attend training offered by the Parks and Recreation Department or complete course on their own.
May be required to pass a background check.
