The Town of Goffstown seeks to fill an anticipated vacancy in the position of Deputy Fire Chief. This is a key leadership role responsible for the overall administration and operation of the Goffstown Fire Department.
The Deputy Fire Chief performs responsible administrative, operational, technical, and supervisory work as the Division Head where the primary area of responsibility is the Fire and EMS Operations and Administration at all station(s) and on emergency and non-emergency scenes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, fire suppression, emergency medical services and rescue operations, and mitigation of man-made and natural emergencies, as well as community risk reduction, hazardous materials response, technical rescues, life safety inspections, and disaster/emergency management. The Deputy Fire Chief position maintains the rank position as second in command when referral to the chain of command is needed to determine the individual in charge in the absence of the Fire Chief. Performs all other related work as required.
