The Town of Glastonbury is hiring a Highway Maintainer 2 to join our Public Works team!
This full-time, 40-hour-per-week position offers a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining the Town's roads, drainage systems, and public infrastructure throughout the year.
Responsibilities include:
• Highway and roadway maintenance
• Operation of heavy trucks and power equipment
• Winter storm response and snow operations
• Asphalt patching, drainage work, and traffic sign installation
• Emergency standby and call-out assignments, as needed
Minimum qualifications:
✔ Two years of manual labor experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
✔ Valid CDL Class B with air brakes endorsement (or higher)
✔ Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions
