The Sr. Recreation Leader reports to the Recreation Coordinator. The primary job duties of this position include:
- Customer service to include fielding questions and resolving conflicts with internal and external customers. Answer inquiries by phone, in person and in writing. Process program registrations and address concerns.
- Maintain and inspect equipment (i.e. rockwall, fitness, gymnasium, etc.). Report facility and equipment maintenance needs. Assist patrons with facility equipment and amenities and insure equipment and supplies are in good working condition and used with proper form and technique.
- Cash handling to include collecting and refunding fees, processing daily, monthly and annual memberships and program registrations.
- Prepare and breakdown facilities for rentals, classes and events. Conduct facility tours. Assist with rental check ins, needs and requests. Open, close, monitor and secure facility.

- Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a recreation setting. Similar experience may be considered.
- Be able to work under minimal to no supervision in a manager-on-duty capacity, respond to emergency situations, and be astute in conflict resolution skills.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Be well versed in the rules and logistics of adult softball, indoor soccer, volleyball, and/or basketball programs
- Flexible availability to work evenings Monday - Friday and weekends (Approximately 5 – 15 hours weekly). Current staffing needs are for Adult Indoor Soccer and Softball. Additionally, working promoter ran tournaments on Saturdays and Sundays at Cactus Yards. This recruitment will be used for future vacancies in all assigned areas.
- This schedule operates approximately 5 adult and youth sports seasons per year, 8-9 weeks per season. Promoter ran tournaments run every Saturday and Sunday at Cactus Yards.
