Examples of Duties:
- Performing building preventive and reactive maintenance and repair work; responding to requests for building repair and maintenance; maintaining records.
- Consults with Facilities Supervisor concerning work assignments.
- Investigate and repair above and inground plumbing including irrigation.
- Performs maintenance and repair work on plumbing.
- Assist others in repairs in other trades such as Electrical, HVACR, and Carpentry.
- Maintains logs, reports and job status records; utilizes an online computerized maintenance management system.
- Determines tool and material requirements for assigned work.
- Ensures that assigned work is accomplished in accordance with procedures.
- Assists other departments with special events, concerts, etc.
- Installs, maintains and repairs plumbing fixtures in all buildings.
- Does some janitorial duties when required; helps to monitor janitorial contractor.
- Performs related tasks as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Professional experience in commercial building maintenance and plumbing systems is required.
- A driver's license and good driving record are required.
- Understand and demonstrate extensive knowledge of commercial buildings to ensure effective operations and maintenance.
