Recycling Center Laborer – Town of Franklin (Population 33,000)
Location: Franklin Recycle Center, 445 Beaver Street
The Town of Franklin is seeking a motivated, customer-service-oriented Laborer for our Recycle Center. Under the supervision of the Stormwater Superintendent, this position assists residents with drop-offs and ensures proper recycling procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet residents and provide excellent customer service
- Collect appropriate fees
- Verify and identify acceptable recyclable items
- Direct customers to correct drop-off areas
- Report any safety or operational concerns
- Safely reorganize materials using proper PPE
- Identify and prevent illegal disposal
Qualifications:
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Knowledge of recycling protocols preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
