The Town of Franklin is seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our Maintenance and Trades Division. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Maintenance and Trades, this position is responsible for performing a wide range of carpentry and facility maintenance tasks across Town and School buildings.
This hands-on position is responsible for carpentry work, facility repairs, and preventative maintenance in municipal and educational buildings. Working collaboratively with other trades staff, the successful candidate will help preserve and improve Town assets while providing responsive service to building occupants.
The successful candidate will support preventative maintenance initiatives, complete repairs and renovations, and help ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. We are looking for motivated trades professionals who take pride in quality workmanship, values teamwork and safety, and is committed to providing exceptional service in a public-facing environment.
The selected candidate must have a valid Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's License and keep up with all continuing education requirements. S/he must also have at least 5 years of commercial, industrial, or building maintenance experience..
The Carpenter must be able to perform manual labor, lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, climb ladders, and endure repetitive motion.
The candidate must pass a criminal background check, including national fingerprinting, and complete a pre-employment physical with a drug screen.

Pay: $34.43 - $39.44 per hour
