What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Assessor (Temp/9mo) position at Town of Essex?
The Town of Essex has an opening for a full-time Assistant Assessor position from October 1, 2025-June 30, 2026. There is potential for this role to be extended after that time but this is not guaranteed. This position is responsible for assisting with the Town and City’s property tax assessment functions and valuation of all real property. The position serves as the first point of contact for the public. In addition, this position is responsible for assisting with producing the Town and City annual Grand List Books. Performs all other technical and administrative work as needed.

The pay range for this role is between $25.84 - $32.31 with the actual starting salary based on qualifications and experience.
