Traffic Control Specialist - Police Department
The Town of East Hampton - Traffic Control Specialist with the Police Department
The employee in this position is responsible for directing traffic to assigned areas, enforcing rules and laws pertaining to parking, stopped and standing vehicles.
Responsibilities Include
- Directing and controlling vehicular-pedestrian traffic near schools, during the school year
- Directing and controlling vehicular-pedestrian traffic at intersections, accident sites and special events
- Patrolling assigned areas to enforce rules and regulations relating to parking meters, parking, stopping and standing of vehicle
- Preparing and issuing summonses for parking violations
- Preparing reports and verifying information with Department of Motor Vehicles
- Driving a motor vehicle and operating a two-way radio
