The Town of Columbia is looking to hire a Seasonal Public Work/Grounds Keeper from May to September. This is a 40 hour/week position at $21.00 an hour.
Job Description: Performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks in connection with the maintenance of public grounds, athletic fields, and the beach area. Performs a variety of ground and equipment maintenance tasks including the use of hand tools, power equipment, and mowers.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Sufficient strength and physical agility to perform heavy physical labor. Ability to work for extended periods of time in all kinds of weather. Ability to learn to operate a wide variety of machinery and equipment.
