The Town of Coeymans is seeking to fill the position of Equipment Operator 2.

• Starting Hourly wage $28.40

Applicants must hold a Class B CDL License and Have a minimum of one year experience operating moderately complex automotive and/or heavy equipment requiring a relatively high degree of skill and manipulative ability. Job duties will include Operation of large trucks with plows for snow clearing and salting. Hauling of materials, maintenance of equipment, black topping and general labor.

Core Responsibilities

• Operate Machinery: Control heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, graders, and excavators using levers, pedals, and switches following site plans or hand signals.
• Inspect Equipment: Conduct pre-operation and post-trip walk-arounds to check fluid levels, tire pressure, belts, and safety components.
• Ensure Safety: Follow OSHA guidelines, monitor for underground/overhead hazards, and report malfunctions immediately to a foreman or supervisor.
