JOB REQUIREMENTS: Chippewa County is accepting applications for a
Building Inspector position within the Planning & Zoning Department. The
job duties of the Building Inspector include but are not limited to
research and inspection work to administer, implement and enforce
Uniform Dwelling Code (UDC) regulations of Chippewa County and the State
of Wisconsin. In addition, the position will assist in the uniform
enforcement of land use and zoning ordinances of Chippewa County,
including the issuance and inspection of zoning, erosion control and
applicable building permits, monitoring compliance and investigating
alleged violations. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of zoning administration and enforcement, Wisconsin Fund
Program requirements, septic construction practices and soil testing
preferred. State of Wisconsin Uniform Dwelling Code (UDC) certifications
required at the time of hire: 1. UDC-Construction, 2. UDC-HVAC, and 3.
UDC-Electrical or UDC-Plumbing. Within one year of hire, must have all
the following certifications: UDC-Construction, UDC-HVAC,
UDC-Electrical, and UDC-Plumbing. A valid driver\'s license is required.
