The Town of Cheshire seeks qualified individuals for the position of School Crossing Guard Substitute.
Responsible for ensuring the safe and orderly crossing of students and pedestrians, at designated school crossings before and after school. This position promotes pedestrian safety by directing traffic, identifying potential hazards, and assisting individuals in crossing roadways. Crossing Guards serve as a visible public safety presence and help foster a safe environment for students, parents, school staff, and the community. Must have a valid driver's license and a dependable vehicle. Please see the attached job description for further details.
Location: Assigned at school crossing locations throughout Town, assigned by the Police department. Crossing Guards may be assigned to one or more designated school crossings and may be reassigned based on operational needs.
Pay: $53.63 per day for two sessions or $26.81 per each session.
