- High school diploma or GED (Associate’s degree or higher preferred)
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in fire prevention or life safety, including 2 years in a supervisory role
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire)
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Fire Inspector II certification (Colorado DFPC or ICC equivalent)
- Plans Examiner (Fire Inspector III) certification within one year of appointment
- Arson Investigation training within two years of hire
- Completion of FEMA NIMS/ICS courses within one year
- Completion of Castle Rock Supervisor Program within three years
- Ability to successfully complete all required background, medical, and physical assessments
- Preferred: POST certification or modified academy, Wildland Type III Investigator certification

Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary: $122,179.20 – $171,038.40
