We are seeking enthusiastic individuals at least 18 years of age to join our athletic field maintenance teams as a Seasonal Facilities Maintenance Worker. This position is instrumental in helping to maintain our premier athletic facilities like WakeMed Soccer Park and USA Baseball National Training Complex in addition to other facilities as needed.
The Seasonal Facilities Maintenance Worker is responsible for preparing and maintaining ball fields using small, powered and unpowered equipment (weed eater, mower, blower, shovel, rake). Maintenance of our athletic facilities include a wide variety of on-field and facility functions like top dressing, soil-dragging, mowing, fixing mounds and plates, mulching, grading as well as pruning, pressure washing, and various off-field facility maintenance projects.

The season for this position is from March to October 2026. This is a seasonal, non-benefited position working up to 40 hours a week, with a maximum of 999 hours. Hours are available for both weekday and weekend assignments on several shifts, including some holidays.
Typical Tasks
Performing on-field maintenance including top dressing, soil dragging, mowing, fixing mounds and plates, mulching, grading as well as pruning, pressure washing;
Assisting in the maintenance of off-field facility projects;
Assisting with other athletic events or Cary programs/special events;
Performs other job-related tasks as required.
