Performs complex administrative and professional work developing and administering personnel, safety, and risk management programs and services. Work involves a broad range of personnel and risk management activities, including but not limited to employee recruitment, selection, and retention; policy development, administration, and interpretation; benefits administration; pay and classification; personnel records management; organizational and employee risk management, safety, and OSHA compliance; handling of Workers’ Compensation claims; processing and administering requests for Family and Medical Leave and Paid Caregiver Leave; diversity, equity, and inclusion work; and employee relations. Work involves policy writing and interpretation, collaborative and independent problem solving and decision making, administration of state and federal employment and occupational health and safety laws, and the ability to analyze and interpret data. Work is performed under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources.
