Full-Time Deputy Town Clerk-Treasurer
The Town of Campbell is seeking a full-time Deputy Town Clerk-Treasurer to join our team. This role supports the Town Clerk-Treasurer in daily operations and ensures efficient services to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare letters, memos, reports, notices, bills, and other documents; perform clerical tasks such as typing, filing, copying, and sorting.
- Collect payments for Town services, including taxes, special assessments, permits, licenses, and records requests.
- Provide excellent customer service via telephone and in-person interactions.
- Assist the Town Clerk with voter registration, absentee ballots, and election-related tasks as needed.
- Attend Town meetings and prepare minutes in the absence of the Town Clerk.
- Assist with zoning and building permit applications.
- Perform statutory duties of the Town Clerk-Treasurer in their absence.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Town Clerk or Town Board.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree required; advanced education or government experience preferred.
- Customer service and cash-handling experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic office equipment.
- Ability to remain professional, solve problems calmly under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of Wisconsin municipal operations, including elections, licensing, and public records.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
Compensation, Benefits, & Work Schedule:
- Pay is hourly and based on level of experience.
- Full benefits package.
- Work hours Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm; Tuesday 8:00am-5:30pm; Friday 8:00am-2:30pm.
