JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
STREET & SANITATION DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR
The Town of Camp Hill is accepting applications for the position of Street & Sanitation Department Supervisor.
The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Street & Sanitation Department and helping maintain the Town of Camp Hill in a clean, safe, and well-maintained condition.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and coordinate the daily work of Street & Sanitation Department employees.
- Manage and monitor the Town's residential trash can service.
- Maintain accurate records of customers and trash cans.
- Coordinate with the Town's contracted waste collection company regarding trash service issues.
- Cut grass and maintain Town property, rights-of-way, and public areas.
- Trim vegetation, remove litter, and perform general grounds maintenance.
- Assist with keeping the Town of Camp Hill clean and presentable.
- Maintain streets and perform general maintenance and repair work as needed.
- Assist with the Town's Natural Gas System as permitted by applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain records and report maintenance, service, and safety issues to the appropriate Town official.
- Operate Town vehicles, lawn equipment, tools, and other machinery.
- Ensure employees follow proper safety procedures.
- Respond to emergencies and after-hours calls when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Mayor or Town Council.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must:
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Be dependable, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Be able to supervise employees and assign daily work.
- Be able to operate lawn equipment, hand tools, vehicles, and other equipment.
- Be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Be able to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as required.
- Have good communication and organizational skills.
- Be willing to obtain Natural Gas certification if not already certified.
Previous experience in street maintenance, sanitation, utilities, construction, grounds maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
NATURAL GAS CERTIFICATION
Applicants who are currently certified in Natural Gas are preferred.
Applicants who are not currently certified may be considered if they are willing to obtain the required Natural Gas certification within a time frame established by the Town.
All Natural Gas-related work must be performed in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

WORK SCHEDULE
The normal work schedule will be established by the Town of Camp Hill. The position may require overtime, weekends, holidays, emergency response, or after-hours work when necessary to meet the operational needs of the Town.
COMPENSATION
Salary: Based on qualifications and experience.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
