What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator position at Town of Barton Highway Department?
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Truck Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who is capable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The individual WILL REQUIRE a CDL Class B at minimum.
Heavy Equipment Operation experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Within a 20-minute commute to Town Barn.
- Be on-call for emergency road maintenance.
- Plow snow, Haul gravel.
- General maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Operate chainsaws for tree removal and trimming.
- Perform routine tasks such as cleaning, painting, or repairing equipment.
- Heavy equipment operation- Loader, Grader, Backhoe, Excavator, Dozer
- Use of hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes and axes
- Preform manual work as required with the ability to lift 50lbs.
- Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $27.60 per hour
