What are the responsibilities and job description for the HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT TRUCK DRIVERS position at TOWN OF BARNSTEAD?
Job Summary
The Town of Barnstead (EOE), is accepting applications for two (2) fulltime year-round truck driver positions in the Highway Department. All Applicants must be 18 years or older, at least a high school graduate or equivalent, possess valid drivers licenses and live within a reasonable travel distance of the Highway Dept.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to, operating and maintaining light and heavy-duty trucks and equipment, performs varied skilled and semi-skilled work on construction and maintenance projects, assists in manual labor related to public works construction and maintenance and works under general supervision. Minimum requirements include the ability to be available 24/7 during the snowplowing season and emergency situations, and working outdoors under extreme weather conditions. Valid NH-CDL-B preferred.
The selected candidates must successfully complete pre-employment requirements including a physical, drug screen and criminal background search. Pay is commensurate with experience.
