ABOUT THIS POSITION:
EXPECTED HIRING RANGE: $20.39 - 24.98
WORK LOCATION: 53 Hunter Street, Apex, NC 27502 USA
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 12:00pm - 6:00pm Part-time (30 hrs per week w/benefits)

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
An employee in this position performs work in setting up rooms for activities and rentals and routine general cleaning in the maintenance of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources facilities. Work will also include the daily opening and startup of facility and subject to hazards in park operations work including working in both inside and outside environments, in extreme hot and cold weather.
This position reports to the Park Operations Supervisor.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
A SAMPLE OF THE ESSENTIALS:
- Responds to calls for service regarding facility and equipment maintenance and troubleshoots problems; makes repairs.
- Assists in proper cleaning and maintenance of gym floors and classrooms.
- Performs minor to moderately difficult trades related functions in the maintenance of Town facilities
- Repairs drywall and paints walls as needed.
- Setup and break down tables and chairs in various rooms for special events, classes, and town sponsored programs.
- Cleans floors, walls, windows, blinds, lavatories, fixtures, and bathrooms.
- Sweeps, mops, and dusts assigned areas; changes light bulbs and fixtures; washes windows; fills and stocks restrooms.
- Performs related duties as required.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
High school diploma or GED and minimal experience in maintenance work preferably in a park setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
