WORK LOCATION: 220 N Salem St, Apex, NC 27502 USA
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Performs a multitude of tasks for the Economic Development department including marketing, communications, social media, graphics/design, website maintenance, and industrial project responses. Also provides support and collaboration on various economic development initiatives for small business programs and promotions. This position reports directly to the Economic Development Director and has no supervisory duties.
A SAMPLE OF THE ESSENTIALS:
- Creates and develops a variety of marketing and communication materials in support of department wide needs and opportunities.
- Creates and implements a comprehensive marketing strategic plan for the department.
- Maintains three (3) websites, including content upgrades, design, graphics, photos and tracking analysis:
Apex Tourism website
LaunchAPEX website
- Serves as initial respondent for industrial project inquiries, including research into project viability in Apex, and completing any required RFP’s and RFI’s.
- Maintains an industrial buildings and sites inventory.
- Serves on the LaunchAPEX Board as Communications Manager, which includes implementation of all communication with class participants and mentors, development of all marketing materials, and maintaining a FaceBook page for each Cohort.
- Performs research on economic trends, issues and initiatives, and on business and industry.
- Leads or assists various special projects and/or duties that arise as directed by the Economic Development Director.
- Serves as a departmental representative on Town employees committees and/or task forces as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Position requires a minimum of an Associate's Degree and 1-3 years of experience; or any combination of education and experience.
Possession of a valid NC Drivers License
