-Instruct English Learner students individually or in groups in oral language activities that foster the child's participation in the school's total program.
-Provide written language activities until the student is ready to join an existing language arts group within the school.
-Recommend appropriate modifications of the child's regular classroom assignments with respect to the existing English language level.
-Assist in developing a sequential ESL Program.
-Assist in developing/assembling relevant assessment materials.
-Assist in developing/assembling materials for classroom use.
-Certification as Teacher of English as a Second Language.
-Experience as teacher of English as a Second Language in a public school setting preferred.
-Fluency in a second language preferred.
-Extended experience living in another culture preferred.
SALARY: Per ASC/Andover Education Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.
