Accounting Generalist

Position Summary
The Accounting Generalist is responsible for supporting the organization’s daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting. This role works closely with the accounting team to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and financial processes are completed in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Review invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents
• Assist with billing, collections, and payment processing
• Prepare routine financial reports and account analyses
• Research and resolve discrepancies in accounting records
• Assist with payroll-related accounting activities as needed
• Maintain vendor and customer account information
• Support audits by providing requested documentation and information
• Ensure transactions comply with company policies and accounting procedures
• Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
