What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dock Associate position at Town Dock Inc?
The Town Dock is the largest wholesale purchaser of calamari on the East Coast. Located on the water in Point Judith, Rhode Island, we specialize in the finest calamari, fish fillets, and a variety of North Atlantic fresh whole fish. The Town Dock is a family owned business and has been around since 1980.
The Town Dock is looking for a full time Dock Worker in the Narragansett, RI seafood plant.
Job includes:
-Sorting fish
-Unloading boats
-Preparing orders
-Loading/unloading trucks
-Cleaning/Sanitizing Equipment
-Basic Computer Skills
Lifting and pallet jack usage is required (training is offered). Experience is helpful and bi-lingual Spanish is a plus.
Hours vary, 7:00am start time and working on weekends is required. Most weeks overtime is expected.
Job Requirements:
-Ability to lift 75 lbs.
-Ability to use liftjacks
-Reliable transportation
-Ability to work various hours
-Seafood experience a plus
-Basic Computer skills
